ENRICHMENT AND OPPORTUNITY
Our co-curricular offerings at St Nicholas’ School inspire a love of learning both inside and outside the classroom, extending and enhancing our pupils' core curriculum whilst enriching their overall education and developing essential life skills.
By engaging in these opportunities and experiences, our pupils develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills that are needed to work in a rapidly globalising world, whilst enhancing their enjoyment of school life alongside a sound understanding of community.
As a through-school, we have the unique opportunity to monitor and support the progress of every pupil according to their strengths and abilities at each key stage. Offering experiences that are meaningful and child-centred is our focus, whether that be participating in an extensive range of clubs and trips, celebrating an International Week of Languages or participating in the popular Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
Our broad and balanced co-curricular programme develops social skills, nurtures a willingness to take risks, boosts confidence and enhances the development of leadership skills whilst also providing inspirational role models in our senior girls for the younger children in our community, continuously preparing our pupils for a life after St Nicholas’ School.

This week, Year 9 visited Legoland Windsor, combining fun and learning in a truly memorable day. Alongside enjoying the park’s thrilling rides and attractions, the girls explored the fascinating world of robotics and programming.
As part of this year’s exciting Enrichment Week, our Year 1 and 2 pupils enjoyed a fantastic visit to the Rural Life Living Museum in Tilford, stepping back in time to discover what life was like in the past.
During Enrichment Week our youngest learners plunged into the delightful tale Somebody Swallowed Stanley. The story’s powerful message sparked discussions about plastic pollution and the importance of recycling.
Let’s go Lions, Dragons, Griffins and Unicorns! Our recent Junior and Senior Sports Days were nothing short of spectacular — a sun-drenched celebration of athleticism, camaraderie, and house spirit!
CLUBS
The extra-curricular clubs provision before school, at lunchtime and after school is extensive and varied in its range, complemented by external specialists.
It is our belief that clubs provide opportunities to learn new skills and try activities, whilst developing new friendships.
