Assistant Site Maintenance Officer

St Nicholas’ School seeks to appoint, an experienced site maintenance officer to assist with the general
upkeep of buildings, grounds and all the equipment at the School and also maintaining the electrical,
plumbing, mechanical and other related systems. The role also entails caretaking during the weekends.

The role requires a high level of liaison with people and the successful candidate must have a warm and
welcoming manner and a demonstrable ability to build rapport and interact with people at all levels,
whether parents, colleagues or contractors.
Days of work will be Thursday - Sunday, all year round. Hours of work to be negotiated.
You will receive a competitive salary and 6 weeks’ holiday a year.

Minibus Driver

St Nicholas’ School seeks to appoint, a minibus driver to work 20 hours a week, equating to 4 hours per day, 2 hours
to be worked in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, during term time only.
The successful applicant for this position will be an experienced driver with a clean Driving Licence. He/she will be
part of the maintenance team and will work alongside other members of the team at times.
Previous experience is advantageous but not essential. A D1 category on their licence is essential and an ability to be
able to commit to a flexible pattern of ad-hoc working times. A lively sense of humour and a professional readiness
to work with the team is important and will ensure job satisfaction in this post at St Nicholas’ School.
The person needs to have a friendly, approachable manner and ideally be in possession of a valid First Aid
Certificate. He/she should be able to work autonomously, demonstrate effective communication skills and can react
calmly and confidently in a crisis.
The appointed person must be capable of and enjoy working with children of all ages.
